Top Australian confectionery gong awarded to Peter Simpson

One of Australia’s leading food executives, Peter Simpson of the Manila Group, has been awarded the highest honor in the Australian confectionery industry.

Simpson is a recipient of the Alfred Staud Excellence Award, which recognizes lifelong service to the Ausralian confectionery industry. ” This is a wonderful but very unexpected honor given to me by the industry. I know that past winners have received high praise in the industry, and it is undoubtedly an honor to be among these people,” he said.

“It’s been great to be closely involved in the confectionery industry for the past 40 years. In this industry with such a rich history and representing fun, I certainly enjoy having relationships with so many people.”

Tim Peter, the head of the confectionery industry at Australian Industry Group, presented the award to Simpson and stated that he is an indispensable part of the Manlia Group industry and deserves recognition.

” Peter simpson, also known as Simmo, has been involved in the management of the confectionery industry for many years and has played an important role in creating new opportunities for confectionery, eapecially in Australia and New Zealand, as well as globally. For decades, he has played a very inportant role in managing and supporting industry renowned annual cenferences… He and Mandra have always been inportant partners in the Australian confectionery industry.”
